As entrepreneurs (or entrepreneurial thinkers), we often struggle with putting a value on our time. Even when we price jobs, it's easy to nail down the cost of materials yet the hours are tricky to figure out.
Often, we rationalize, it could take more time or less than expected. While we are willing to pay certain fees for a lawyer or dentist, due to their levels of schooling, it's hard to set a rate for our skills.
Let me tell you right now, your expertise has value. Whether you are an artist, a fundraiser, or a general contractor, what you do with your time counts. If you can do something I cannot do, then your minutes are extremely worthwhile.
So, you should make the best of them.
One way to maximize your earnings is to turn over the things you don't do well to people who do. You may have a specialist taking care of your billing, of course. You call in a pro if you have a problem with your car.
The same principle applies when you're working with words.
If you're not gifted with getting your thoughts down via a keyboard, or you're better at expressing yourself verbally, then I can help you draft whatever it is you need written.
Perhaps you've been given a chance to boast about your achievements or system in a trade publication or you want to celebrate an anniversary with a special brochure. There are many ways to share your message, but the message itself needs to sing.
Let's harmonize together.
It takes all kinds of talents to make this crazy world go around. I know I call for help when I need it. Why shouldn't you do the same?
